I went through their school in April and got stranded in Pennsylvania before I could get on with a lead so I quit and went home. The next Monday, i received a call from Knight Transportation. I started with them and am now making more than I ever would have with CRST. I received a letter in the mail today stating that I owe them $6,500. I am not home to read it personally so not sure of the stipulations on that. But i am making more than enough to have them paid off within the next couple months easily
CRST 8 month contract...worth breaching?

Going from crst to knight...really isn't an improvement...just simply a lateral move...better watch your checks at knight...they have a habit of shorting your checks..

Oh man! You should work two more months and then start (cough cough) become too ill to drive. Then quit. What a great group.

I'm glad you feel you had a good change, I did hear someone say that they dont pay that well but maybe they do for your first year, and I dont see them hiring any more often than other first year (student) companies. I'd like to leave on here for many that I read Rhoel starts at .35 (after training) Super service .34 and Transport America .37 that is for new drivers starting with them after training. But before I had to bus to train and hopefully work for a company I'd get them to email me what I'd be earning after the time with a trainer. If they wont put it in writing its likely that they are setting you up for a bait and switch. And it should be easy to post that you emailed or just share here who you asked for that in writing on forums like this.....it will help add that they are not a very honest company.

Do you have a link to the proceedings that you went through? I need to have something to refer to when I talk to a lawyer... Thank you in advance!

Dont let them intimidate you.if you cant make money leave.you cant live without money.if they are not giving you loads then technically they are breaching the contract.do whats best for you.if they do sue it must be done in your home state.remember you have to eat too and if ypur not getting paid and they decide to sue you can argue with them in court.they have a responsibility to there employees.each situation is different so decide whats best for you.
DTP, drvrtech77 and FlaSwampRat Thank this. -
Couldn't agree more...just because they have a contract doesn't give the company authority to starve the the driver out...crst is a dump anyway..DTP, Lonesome and FlaSwampRat Thank this.
