A Recruiter called me the other day asking when I was ready to go to school for my CDL in Indiana. This happened within an hour after filling out an online app. Everything seemed so quick. I'm getting almost $500 a week right now unemployment. I dont think I will might that much with CRST, right ? I have a "following too closely" so TMC, Werner, and Roehl turned me down. If you are unemployed such as myself you can get state funding for you CDL with a prehire letter. I dont want to pay for my CDL. Has anyone else been through this ? Any advice ?
Crst cdl school ?

There are programs offered nationally like WIA and AARA but you would have to go through a career center run by the unemployment office. This is how it is done here in California I dont know that it is the same in Kentucky. They jerked me around in all sort of manner. I tried to get funding for fiber optic splicing. I found out the counselors dont even have a clue whats up. There is funding issues. The OJT program is also available but again the office is full of morons. CRST will actually attach a Pell Grant yet have you sign a contract. I did that in 2002. I dont know if it is illegal I feel its immoral. I leave for CR England today I am currious as to what lies my recruiter may have told me. I quess it is wait and see. I have 41/2 OTR but have been out of a truck for 3 years. By the way do you play the banjo?

No I dont play the banjo, LOL. I was stationed in San Diego and should have taken that free CDL class at the bases. CRE contacted me also and ask when I wanted to leave, Let me know how CRE works out for ya. Has to be better than CRST.

Guess what. I am back home from CR England orientation. I made it through the 1st cigarette break and came back to class to find out CR England will not hire experienced drivers for anything other than lease purchase or 22 cents per mile. I kind of expected it. It was entertaining talking to a few of the dumbest idiots soon to sharing the road with you.
