I just asked about Werner, is anybody familiar with CRST? They offer training 3-4 weeks and its only an 8 month commitment.
One of the things I like is that they run out of San Diego which is were my parents live, thought of staying with them while I train and get my Class A. Any thoughts?

Crash & Roll Stunt Trucks would probably your worst choice: After your class work you'll go out with a trainer that will most likely will not have the knowledge base to teach you much of anything. CRST will allow someone with only 8months experience to train another driver, you might get lucky and get a trainer that has a few years experience. After your 28 days on the road with said trainer you will have to team up with another driver(crst is a team company)witch you will have to find on your own. sometimes they will find one for you. the problem is that driver will also be new.DO YOU REALLY WANT TO PUT YOUR LIFE IN A STRANGERS HANDS especially if its a ROOKIE DRIVER LIKE YOU. and what I mean by that is you are going to have to sleep while this person is driving. sleeping in a moving semi is very difficult and take time to adjust to it and a lot of people cant what if this new co.driver of yours hasn't and falls a sleep while driving because he didn't get any while you were driving? Oh and there is the whole getting a long thing while stuck in a box 24/7 not to say you will not. I've talked with a lot of crst drivers that have gone thru 5 and 6 co. I could keep going I seriously just don't feel like typing any more. one last thing you will not make any money there they are the lowest paying.

Unless you want to make 200 dollars a week and potentially die at the hands of another inexperienced driver or incompetent trainer, i'd steer clear of can't remember #### today...

Does CRST have a dedicated account in San Diego? If so, that might work out OK. Hauling general freight OTR and never knowing where your next load is or where it's going isn't too good and the weekly pay is lousy. The pay is usually pretty good on dedicated or logistics accounts, because it's steady running. Get your CDL and hit the road.!
