So I am new too.. Don't ask how i ended up with 3 trucks & 2 flat beds.. lol. I worked for a trucking co and it seemed like a good idea until i realized the extent of the companies cash flow problems! I do have alot of software .. Dr Dispatch / Promiles & Quickbooks...I need some advice! :)

I really hope y'all don't lease your trucks on with Malone. They have their own logistics, and they cut the rate to hardly over a dollar a mile. If you don't believe me me,ask them for a copy of their load board. Also check their safety score. If you want to be dot'd all the time, then that's the right company. Good luck.

A couple things to consider...you should pay yourself a salary. Especially if you have a partner. It will help to keep things transparent, and let you know if you are really making money.

I am not a CRST contractor, but I am assuming the 2.00/mi to the truck is not taking dead head into account. You should have some idea of how this will affect your bottom line.

Lastly, good luck learning to be a manager!
