So now all you've got is thinking "mommy and daddy" bought it?:biggrin_25512:

Read some of my posts on this very forum. I did a lease to get the money up to buy my truck. It only took 8 months. Whats your excuse, if you are making great money??

I've been around doctors my whole life, doesn't make me one.

    LT,

Let him ramble on. He is being impolite and acts as if he knows everything. It does not go that way as trucking is a job where you are learning everyday. You can get a monthly payment on flat that is cheaper than what Malone leases theirs out for.

You're the best reason of all for not working for Malone. You're the living example of the type of driver that works for Malone.
You believe that you are making good money but in reality you're giving Malone most of the profit on the load and you don’t even realize it. Also your monthly payment is for the lease not the purchase. You might not even realize that you are making a monthly lease payment not purchase payment. There is a big difference.
Also why would your great truck need all those repairs with only 64500 miles on it? Might be because it's been passed on to so many other drivers that couldn't make it?
By all means keep on trucking driver. If your happy with $1200 take home then by all means keep on trucking. However, you are one reason the real O/O's aren’t making the type of money that we should.
As long as there is someone willing to haul it for less and give a huge part of that away, we're all going to see those cheap freight prices.

Malone just put an ad on CL for the JAX area. Average of 1.67 cpm, 75% linehaul and 100% fsc. With those numbers it is working out to about 1.50 including fsc with the 25% taken out. LS pays more don't they????

Let me see, $1200 TAKE HOME in a WEEK on 2000 miles and HOME ON THE WEEKEND? If I was still truckin' I could live on that.... The rates are what they are for whatever reason you can either live on them or you can't. Most O/O's can't afford to park their rigs untill the "rates come back" they have to haul what they can to stay afloat. If folks didn't have:Automobile loan int:Motorcycle::Utility ATV::Property::Baby carriage:it wouldn't be a problem.

What they don't say is most agents have their own trucks and get the better paying freight while L/O and O/O average $1.35 to maybe $1.40 with fsc to the truck.

    Ain't that the truth!

Ain't that the truth! :sign5: I'm willing to bet he's an Agent for Malone and doesn't like the truth being let out. He's prabably having an even harder time finding L/O and O/O's now that the words out. I mean he's only got a few psot and most of them aren't making CENTS!
