I wouldn't go to a company like Averitt that is just starting out in the last few years with flatbed. If you want to be a company driver then go to TMC.

Call it what you want but last I recall averritt doesn't lease on O/O's...
-
As my mother would say "what does that have to do with the price of tea in china" Ie. this makes no sense. You state crst forces you to L/P...since they do not use company drivers if you do not have your own truck you choose to do L/P when you join. Now what does any part of that conversation have to do with weather or not averritt leases on O/O's?
-
Its pretty simple..... You either L/P or go elsewhere. No option to be a co driver to see if you like it or the company. For someone who is just getting out of school its very important.
-
Malone does not take anyone just out of school anyway, you need previous otr experience before they will even consider you.
-
What 6 month a year? Oh yeah you got all the experience now...
Sorry it just makes no sense to me why they have co drivers on the van side but not the flat side? Is there a reason for that? -
I would imagine that most flatbed loads are less than $1,000 miles. And so there's no need for a team.
-
Oh that's right they only do teams on van side... forgot.
-
Honestly, if I could have done a few weeks as a co-driver I might have considered it. But I'm managing to figure things out. I'm learning I like hauling equipment. Beats the hell out of tarping coils.

are most of your loads malone loads or broker frieght gravedigr? Olander in Sioux falls and Emkin in harlan Ia (omaha office ) have equiptment to haul or they used to anyway.
