I had read that they had those deals on Schneider trucks. Your right that is such a better plan then $375 a week :}

Guess all the crst driver on this thread dobe quit
-
I heard today that alot of people a quitting Crst Malone, they been calling former drivers in their house if they want to come back like me, and i said no thanks!
-
I'm still here. Just been busy at the house for a week.

This has certainly been an interesting thread. Even with all of the negativity about L/Ps it seems like a low risk way to test the waters. I like the idea of booking my own loads instead of depending on a dispatcher to feed my family for me. I have a few months of household living expenses set aside, but my big obstacle is health insurance. Between premiums and deductibles I'd need to budget at least 1000/month for the whole family. That's the biggest factor that's keeping me running dollar store loads for a mega-carrier.

Patrick what kinda money are u making

Wow its been crazy the past two weeks running hard to get set up for the slow down . Tough break for gravdiger I was at Rockport when he was cleaning the truck out I didn,t know it was him . I was putting my side kit up small world . Well amyway freight is strange right now and you have to get it were you can . I am still making a living in a LP truck and like the company I cannot understand how you would have a conflict with them I have very limted contact with CRST Malone . I pick my load or broker load text my dispatcher He puts fuel on my card I load send him my info drive unload send my info and start all over . They are silent partners we have a confrance call once a month and other business is put on the load board . I like the freedom but remember nobody holds your hand.
jtanner10 Thanks this. -
well been watching this thread awhile mainly due to gravdiggrs enthusiasm...very sorry to hear about your bumps in the road diggr know well where you coming from...anyway been putting in apps everywhere looking for a decent o/o job..wouldnt consider a l/p as dont really like being owned to any extent so went out and bought an older ride straight out to keep weelly payment nill....anyway put in one at crst malone last night..recruiter called today, asked about experience...after learning it was many years he immediatly told me i could just come straight to orientation...i'm thinking okay cool...then he tells me that all their trucks run teams and they would have to team another driver with me...not so cool...go out and buy your own truck, paid for, cause you dont want payments or passengers unless they are of your choice because you might be a senile old anti-people person and they tell you they going to have to add a driver of their choice ?..dont make sense to me...but...count me out..
