My wife and I are thinking about leasing our tractor to CRST for a while. I just got out of CDL school and received my CDL + already have all endorsements including haz and a TWIC card, and they are the only company who will let her train me as an O/O team. Most others dont have a Train your Partner program for o/o, so we are limited to who we can go with right out of the gate. Once I get 6 months of experience (she already has a year), we can go to a number of different places as an o/o team. Even more once I have a full year (Landstar etc). Who is running as o/o (not lease purchase) with CRST right now or recently, and what do you think of how they operate + what lanes did you see good money in, and really anything else you can tell me about them. Thank you.
None that we can find. We haven't found any others who will allow a driver to train their partner/spouse as o/o.
Ok well them you might be stuck going with crst. At least for 6-12 months. If that turns out to be the case. Try to sign on with the STI fleet out if ft Wayne.(you might like and wind up staying there) But if possible NOT the expidated fleet. But I seem to remember swift and prime having a train your spouce program. Dont no if still in effect or not. Going in as owner ops is what is killing all your prospects. I would suggest you start another post. Name it "O/O where to train my spouce" having crst in your post title is probably holding down the responce or people even reading it. Because at a glance it sounds like another mega fleet lease purchase question. Good luck wish I could help more.
The dude that does the driving tests out of Ft wayne is an ahole. Other than that seemed like a nice place.
All good responses. Thank you. Mover man, good points on everything including the thread title. Just curious, why do you prefer STI vs Expedited with CRST?
Well I prefer loads that are more money and less miles. But if I have to do more miles, I still want more money.
