Most of the time it is the bigger companies that train unless you know someone working for a smaller one and can work out something with them. Sometimes the smaller companies are not so great to their drivers either.
It's split miles folks. If you have 0-3 months of experience, pay is half of the total miles x .22cpm. If the truck moves 6000 miles, you get .22 x 3000. That isn't that uncommon for so-called "training companies". Furthermore, pay goes to .31 with 6 mos experience. Keep the truck moving safely, and money will come. A decent team should have no problem with 5000-5500 miles per week. Plus they pay on Tuesday and Thursday. Who else gets 2 paychecks per week? Take the good with the bad. Everybody has something bad to say about some company who scorned them....it is what you make it. Safe travels!!!
