why did it take you multiple shops b4 you took the initiative to call the shop yourself and find out if they have your part in stock? After it happened the first time, I think I would of started to do some calling.

I just picked my son TRAPPED in Cinci OH. he and his team driver had picked up there frtshaker in Pa 2 week's ago, they made 2 run's with it.
They ended up in Cinci with a broke 5-wheel, it stopped locking, so they took it to thr Frtshaker dealer. The Freightliner dealer was still waiting on approval from CRST to go ahead with the repair's.
As I allready stated I picked him up in Cinci on this past Friday 8-15-2010, he had allready been sittin for 8 day's and the truck would'nt be fixed till next week.
My son got ahold of someone in management,( after 5 hour's of phone tag ) and he quit and the person he talked too agreed with him, saying that was ridiculos having to sit for 8 day's.:biggrin_25516:

CRST Suck's and obviously does'nt have enough work to keep their team's moving.

your son was right for refusing to drive the truck with a bad 5th wheel. crst was just delibrately not answering frtliner because they are cheap & didnt want to pay to have it fixed.

I started with CRST Van Ex in 4/09 was there till 6/09. in that time i ran a total of 8,000 mi and that was while i was training. My poor trainee was only making 50.00 per week on our miles. Went to dispatch, driver trainee rep and all gave the same answer no loads available. Finally graduated my trainee and quit. trainee stayed 2 more months and finally quit. he was getting the miles cause they had him and another trainee splitting .22 mi. thats all i can say about them other than truck was returned to terminal where i picked it up and was DACed a abandoment cause i didnt take truck where dispatch wanted it. about 500 miles from my terminal

my 2 cents. I was unemployed and going thru a career change living with family and virtually broke when I signed up with crst. I didnt have no money to pay a school ,so did'nt have much of a choice. I signed a contract, they picked up the tab for schooling, hotel etc. etc.. And fon or that I'm grateful. What other jobs or industries do that?So I have to pay it back no problem, at least I got in the industry my foot in the door and later on I can move on when my contract is due up. I dont care much for teams and OTR and already checking other co's st need more time OTR. So far have averaged roughly 5,000 a week, good dispacher, nceo problems with maintnance.Pay is split miles not cpm, Some people are happy some are not,I know if I'm not happy somewhere I move on. Just paying my dues bigger and better things will come or maybe things will work out and I'll stay, who knows.I was down and out when they gave me a chance for a career and job,so for that I thank them, even if things do;nt work out later. My 2 cents are up, be safe.

Starting training with CRST on Monday. No one else I know is hiring out of Florida besides Swift and they can't get me to training till the end of the month so I figured get a jump start with my CDL training then I can go to work. (Called Stevens, Schneider, Prime, CR England, etc and can't get with them unless I move out of state first plus I need a CDL before Schneider will hire since they don't train directly anymore.) I'm out of options financially so I couldn't come up with the money for local CDL training at a school. In any case I'm going to start posting about my time with CRST so if you want to hear in detail keep an eye out for my blog posting.

I have only been with them for 2mnths but what i have seen is that the company is ok with a few flaws but i noticed its really the other drivers who suck im not talking bout the ones who do their jobs but i encountered a trl that had 7 bad tires and 20,000 lbs on the ### end of it now the team had hauled it from ohio all the way to indy like this the tires had missing tread low air andjust should have never been moved but that was only the latest there were many others now if drivers would do their pti and scale their loads like they should and if they do find a trl that needs repair and actually take it in then things wouldnt be so bad but there are drivers who dont belong out there but over all the comp. is ok maybe the ones with so many problems should look at themselves and improve the areas that they can and do the #### pti everytime
