Over the years I've spoken to many drivers who claimed I was full of it when the topic came up in a discussion. I thought I was the only one who noticed. LOL

i looked into them awhile back and didn't like how they paid. they didn't offer direct deposit and paid twice weekly which i saw as pretty screwy. two easy to mess up pay.

I don't like direct deposit anyway. I don't trust it.

Nothing wrong with direct deposit. Everyone in the military is paid that way now. Look at it this way, you don't have to go to the bank to cash your check.

Well, here's the problem. I've read horror stories somewhere. I forget where, it may have been here on this site.

Some unscrupulous companies that pay via direct deposit have some sort of arrangement with whatever banks they deal with allowing them to "withdraw funds for accidental overpayment". Do you see the potentially serious problem here now? It get's better.

Trucking companies, that is the more disreputable outfits, are also guilty of this sort of thing, and if someone were to become so inclined, they could simply clean your bank account out behind your back, because of the concocted excuse of "accidental overpayment".

Now there are ways to prevent this from happening. One can set up another bank account simply for the purpose of receiving direct deposits, and as soon as the check is in the account, transfer the funds to the account you use regularly.

That's why I'm hesitant to switch to direct deposit, even though they offer it where I work.

    OK just finished training right.
    - Wish they wud have some train the trainer'" type course instead of just letting any ole body go thru orientation and become a trainer cause my trainer was a good person but an idiot. He was a O/O so he couldnt get directions from the qualcomm and his map reading was terrible, he would go 100 miles out the way just because his pride wouldnt let him see that the route i pointed out was faster and better. HE twice instruscted me to make u-turns after he directed me down wrong streets (we got into an argument because i wouldnt do it). Got mad when I wouldnt run illegal (there was no need to except the fact he didnt feel like driving when his time came). I had to prety much teach myself backing, just a bad teacher but I didnt complain because Ive been around trucks all my life and pretty much knew the basics.

But now Ive been sitting here since tuesday december 5th waiting on them to put me with a co-driver. Its too the point that I told em I dont eve care what region he lives in just get me on the road. And today he tells me after 8 days that their gonna put me on a greyhound to the oklahoam city term. to get a co-driver out of there, not if one of these 11 companies Ive filled apps for calls me back before friday.

Yeah thats the Problem with letting O/O's be trainers they exploit it for Free labor and look at the Income rather than their output all of the ones i met at CRST are like that

you shouldn't have a problem getting a Co Driver at Oklahoma, thats where the most people are any way, When i needed one i would just Grab someone from Orientation i needed the money lol, until one moron told me when we got to New york that his CDL expired that day and i told him look its your choice if you wanna drive and get arrested thats up to you but if not your getting on a Grey hound bus I'm not carrying dead weight around, i have said this before IF you choose to go with CRST you Really Really REALLY NEED TO BRING A CO DRIVER WITH YOU, relying on them is going to get you no where

You should probably call on those companies you filled out apps on, seems that CRST does not have their act together.
