Once again, thinking of only one person...
You forget about all the people who lost their job, due to the lower fuel cost... the same dollars that ripple through the economy.... moving dollars from one sector to another does NOT grow the economy.
Yes he got to eat at red lobster... still spent the same exact dollars for the month... his net income did not increase due to lower fuel costs. Yes he is happy for awhile... then the economy crashes again, and his wages drop, all because you have bought the MYTH that lower fuel costs grow the economy. You do not increase the nations wealth by taking from the rich, and giving it to the poor.
Crude oil is $86 today.... beginning of the end?

That's far from the truth sir. I am an O/O and make more or less the same each week gross. When gasoline is cheaper or I spend less on tolls I bring home more money. If the company I am leased on to cuts my rate due to lower fuel prices then you'd have a point but so far that is not happening. I made the same gross in July when gas was $4 a gallon as I do now when it's under $2. So like I said I absolutely love it.MP3 > CB Thanks this. -
Yes, he spent the same dollars, has a better life, and enhances the lifestyle of the Red Lobster folk. Now, when you consider that 119 people out of 120 don't directly work in the oilfield, that's a lot of Red Lobster.
If he's a business owner, his net income certainly increases. If he's a wage earning, his purchasing power increases.
The rest of that, you're just mixing up your cliche's.DriverToBroker Thanks this. -
