I have a 03' 379 and my cruise doesn't work with my lights on otherwise it works just fine. Don't know if its a short relay or switch don't know where to start looking?

You get better mileage without the cruise if you are wearing light weight boots.

and a possible speeding ticket. LOL.

you see drivers all the time. they're going faster. then slower, then faster. then slower.

just set the cruise and drive.

i fail to see how you get better mileage just becuase your foot is holding the pedal down instead of the ecm holding the pedal down. unless you climbing a hill and want to keep your boost under 20 pounds. and don't mind spending all day crawling at 5 mph.

Darn hijackers lol and what do u mean you can't help the OP? Want cruise control with the lights on grab the prybar and wedge it between the seat and the throttle lmfao old bull hauler told me that trick.

Now as for the op's question check your cruise switch for continuity, that will eliminate the possibility of a short although the short seems to be the culprate if it works with the headlights off but doesn't work with them on. After that check your relays. And just keep running down the line I believed you have a short somewhere along the lines but that is my opinion. I don't do very much electrical work anymore but sounds to me like you have a short somewhere along the lines. Rip the hole dash out and start checking

Before you tear things apart unhook the trailer wire plug (if you're hooked to a trailer). What I have found it has happened to me a couple of times is that with the lights on it will back feed through the brake light wire. The brake lights wont even be on for it to do this. Sometimes it is a matter of messing with the truck to trailer plug hook. It will even do it just on the truck. Not sayin this is it but it wont hurt to check it out.
