Has anyone else ever had a problem with the cruise control where you can set it? sometimes if I shut the truck off and let it sit for 5 minutes, it'll reset, and sometimes it won't

Yes, whenever you shut the truck off. It ask for reset.. Dont know about newer trucks though

Once set all cruise controls, will return to the selected setting. You have to activate the switch and turn it off and on. But once the vehicle is running it will reactivate once you reach that speed it was set at.
I never use a CC since I had one stick on me, and the only way to stop the vehicle was slam it in neutral and brake. I continued after disconnecting it. -
try step on brakes 2-3 times then you should be able to set the cruise

Yep... the system needs a brake application to reset.

that kind of makes sense, but I've stopped on the side of the road and shut the truck off for 5 minutesnd it still didn't work .....so, I don't know

My 08 Columbia will do that. Cruse Control is working fine make a quick stop and it will not set. I have to stop again and shut the truck down, then it will come back on. I have asked the dealer about it but they want to hook it up and that's money.

What are you driving?

Yeah, my 2013 Condo would do it also, as well as the 2010 Light weight I had previously. Honestly I think it had more to do with the on guard system, I had them both in several times but no one could ever find the problem. Most of the time, after about an hour running down the road using the pedal it would seem to start working just fine. The reason I feel it was the On-guard system is because it was 2 totally different trucks, about the only thing the same in them was the on-guard system.tirednaz Thanks this.

Yep that's the same issue I have. Although lately it hasn't reset just driving, I've had to stop to get it to reset.
