Worked my butt off last week hauling co2. Pretty decent for working dayshift and being home everyday. Cryo is the best.
Cryo companies after all the mergers...who's good to work for?

Does Linde send out a thanks but no thanks email if they reject your application? I applied about two weeks ago and have gotten no response so far.
I currently work for a great company and they let me deadhead from my home to them every week (240 miles) so I can't complain about them but I get a percentage (25%) of the load and with rates being down my paycheck is suffering. I think it's time to move on.
I drove gas tankers for about seven years when a car side swiped me. I pinched a nerve in my back so I did office work for the next ten years.
Been back trucking just shy of a year now.
Should I keep going after The Linde Group or just cut bait.
The goal is $100k+
I'm an old school trucker and have a go go go attitude from the old days so I don't mind working if the pay is right.Dennixx Thanks this. -
The local Linde has absolutely no access off the street so you can't talk to anyone but if I keep seeing stuff like that I'm gonna get a tent and put it outside there door.
I expect to see an amount just shy of that on my check too. Of course it'll be at the end of December but it'll be close to that. -
Seems as though $100k+ isn’t too difficult with any of the big outfits. Messer is what we have here, Linde in town is all cylinder work it seems. We have multiple air products locations but they seem to be in the middle of nowhere or right by Chicago. I want to say Linde has bulk work in the southern part of the state.

Heard we have 5 in the pipeline. Going through background checks and all.
But if all hold true only 2 or 3 will actually stay. 50% rule..lol
We say if you make it 5 years you will never leave and retire here.
100K isn't that much nowadays and running hard isn't an option. You only have so many hours to work and you/they want it done safely. The minute you rush things is when stuff happens.
My advice would be to keep trying or see if you can find a local number for the plant and talk w someone on the phone. -
Linde takes a while to get back to you and then there is the whole onboarding process. It took almost 5 weeks for me to get fully hired on at my Barn. You can always try and call the Garfield terminal or hell, even go park out there outside the fence and try and get someones attention, then ask them about who you can talk to for a job and tell them you have already applied. Go shake some hands. -
Local Linde plant in Stockertown Pa is hiring for a local truck driver, it seems like every few months they have a job opening posted on their website. Apparently the current job opening is for night shift, 2AM start with wait for it... Wednesday and Thursday off. Are those the hours and days that new drivers usually start with?
I currently work for an LTL carrier doing p&d and occasionally run linehaul, but it's hard to hit $95k a year at my current barn. I work day shift 5 days a week, have weekends off and off on most major holidays. However I do want to make more $$. Also moving freight with the pallet jaclet all day in the trailer is slowly getting old.
Is Linde very anal about those driver facing cameras?
