I don't need it. But I appreciate the thought.
I'm happy to see a qualified person get into the field. I think it's one of the easiest gigs out here.
Where else you gonna truck, get home each night(later on) and do a million in 8 years?

    scythe08 and scott180 Thank this.

I want to bawl everytime I see you post this. There is nowhere on the PNW that comes anywhere close to this, not as Local drivers. I wont even hit 90k working 6 days a week with how things are going.

    Dennixx Thanks this.

    Maybe the pay scale?
We also have a clause that if we are delayed we can turn a mileage run into an hourly one.
    Weather, construction, accidents or detours.
We need to average 57mph to equate the hourly rate.
We just put on 5 new drivers so after they are trained in, if they all stick, the hours may drop a bit.

All the PNW Terminals are all different. Every single one of them(3 are Union and have separate contracts, with us(CO2 in Portland) being the lowest paid. We are strictly Hourly and I believe the others are too.. The other 2 are non-union and are not under our management umbrella, and are also ran separately from us and each other.) and we are the smallest with only 3 employees at a satellite branch. Our huge issue is that we are 100% dependent on the rail road to bring us railcars of CO2 for us to load into our tank, then reload it into our trucks and go deliver, we are facing long delays in getting our product delivered, due to a work slowdown from the BSNF Union. We cant work if we don't have product to deliver. Not Lindes fault at all. Just frustrating because I was close to chasing Dennixx on the gross and then over 2 months ago, things absolutely tanked here. I want to reiterate that Linde wasnt to blame. We also dont have a top earner, per se. We all make roughly the same. We can work 6 days a week, but only doing one load a day, or split loads, and then using our 8 hour guarantees(If you work 4 hours and 1 minute, you are then entitled to 8 hours pay, even if you dont work it all.)

    scott180 and Dennixx Thank this.

We have had probably 9 weeks here where volunteers were needed. If you had hours you could work overtime and a lot of guys did.
I didn't work a single OT day but have worked all holidays so far which Is 2 and 1/2 times pay.

I had a interview on Friday. I'm a little nervous about the idea of team driving but if it get me in the door. The terminal manager is new but seems nice. He did dispatch for awhile so he likely knows how to deal with problems. There was another fellow there as well who was above him and just helping the new manager settle in. Both seemed like I could work for them.
Now it's just a wait and see if they feel I'd be a good fit for them or not.

    Best of luck.

Do keep us posted on how things develop.

Especially since this is a team opportunity.
