Yeah, first time my trainer opened up the doghouse I almost gave up right then and there lmao, seemed like I was never gonna get it…. THEN one day a few weeks later it all just clicked!viper822004, scythe08 and Dennixx Thank this. -
im still trying to figure out what could be cushier lolviper822004, scythe08, Dennixx and 1 other person Thank this. -
Beneto had a step by step manual written by trainers. The procedures were clearly laid out without any fluff or nonsense. It made life easy when doing something that you only did once in a great while.
As for the everyday things like delivering to a gas station I can still after ten years tell you step by step what to do like I was reading it from the manual.
Having a set procedure and sticking to it keeps you out of managements office.RockinChair, scythe08 and Dennixx Thank this. -
You'll never have a problem if you follow written procedures. -
As a team driver how do you handle these things?
Vacation, do you need to take your vacation at the same time?
Sick days, if one calls out sick do both of you stay home?
Refrigerator, is there enough room in it or do you get an extra one?
Sleeping, I just figured on throwing a sheet on the bed and then using a sleeping bag. Sound correct?
Who drives when?
How many bags per person?
Alot of this is going to be whatever company policy is and what the drivers can work out but I'm wondering what you've worked out between you and your co-driver.
Thanks.Rodeorowdy Thanks this. -
Take vacation when you want, other guy runs solo that week or two.
Same w marking off sick. You go home till you feel well enough then back on the truck.
We never had a fridge but an electric cooler. We brought prepared meals in tupperware or microwavable meals. Fridge is just normal size truck unit. Maybe a cooler for beverages.
We were home every weekend so..
We did the same..sheet on mattress w our own sleeping bag and pillow.
As fer as driving you'll check w your partner.
We did 10 hours.
I did 3 night shifts to his 2 because he would rather do days and I could do nights.
Don't know how long you guys will be out each trip but I used to bring 3 uniform shirts to leave in the closet.
