A good attitude, the ability to think on your feet, able to follow instructions and critical thinking will get you hired when you do an in person interview at the plant.
13 yrs ago they required tanker experience but have dropped it for new hires.
You'll go through training and if you have any experience on the road or have hung out on this site then you realize the difference in pulling liquid.
It's a really clean, easy, good paying trucking job.Home every day, good benefits and investment opportunities.
Let me know if you have any questions I can answer.
Check the website,I think some places offer training. -
Well Gentlemen, I am out.
Tendered my 2 week notice today and I'll be moving back to Tillamook and the Coast and going back to hauling Milk. I'll keep the reasons as a personal decision in my best interests. It was a pleasure to be introduced to Cryo in a small way, and I appreciate the help, information and opinions that I received here and also a thank you to those of you that reached out personally to me. Thank you very much for your kindness and generosity and I wish you nothing but happiness and prosperity in your lives and careers.
Take care,

Welp I may be done with Linde.
I guess my co-driver said he didn't like my driving. It is disappointing because he never said anything to me about it. I don't race, grind gears or take corners fast and I'm always conscious that I have someone sleeping in the truck, but I must be doing something he's uncomfortable with. His last co-driver said he couldn't sleep in the truck so he quit.
Then to top it off I went to a place I've never been and the driveway is like a funnel (wide opening and narrows quickly) and I was in a Jumbo with a sleeper. I took it wide but not wide enough and had to back up because when I GOAL the very end of my passenger side fender would of kissed the fence. The driver manager was with me doing a ride along so I'm getting dinged for that. I did misjudge the driveway but I didn't hit anything.
Linde has had a string of injuries and accidents recently so that doesn't help either.
So I may be done or I may be on local instead of OTR. They'll tell me by the end of the week.
I don't know if I want to continue with Linde or not to be honest.
The drivers manager and the operations guy are fine to work with, I personally don't have a problem with logistics, they have good equipment and it's ieasy work but for some reason all the drivers at Garfield seem unhappy. Ya always feel like you have to be on guard or you'll get fired. There is alot of turnover.
When I told my wife that I may be leaving Linde she was actually happy. She said I haven't been myself since starting there.
I'm a little sad because when I first applied I thought I'd found a company I could retire from.
Don't let anything I said in this post keep anyone from applying to Linde. Different terminals have different personalities.Last edited: Jan 10, 2023
