In the short time i worked for this company i found out that almost everything they said was a lie. They told me i would get travel reimbursement for attending orientation. LIE. They told me i would be driving a 2 year old truck. LIE. They told me they pay for TWIC cards. LIE. They expected me to violate HOS by not logging certain hours. They expected me to drive overweight vehicles on a regular basis. They expected me to drive trucks that were definately not DOT legal. They expected me to pull tanker trailers containing HAZMAT that were just rusted out and falling apart. Tried contacting the safety department numerous times and they would not take my calls or return my calls. I refused to do anything illegal and was immediately terminated. They withheld all of my training pay and refused to even discuss it. Stay away from these guys. I quit my job to go work there because what they were saying sounded good, but it was all a lie and now i'm unemployed.

Ya i should have known better, but i have never before seen such a blatent disregard for DOT rules in my career. I have seen some bad companies out there but this one takes the cake by far.

I would have take one of those rusty trailers to the back of a scale house and told the DOT boys to have at it.

I actually thought about giving it to the the DOT but with all this CSA2010 crap i didn't want to get all those points for equipment violations.

We don't allow them to pull any extra loads for us. They have a long history of being less than safe. Have you considered Linde ? We pay well, get treated very well and run strictly legal. Most locations are represented by the IBT. http://www.bocjobs.com/drivers/Default.asp

I have been around Linde drivers and managers on many occasions over the years. Everyone there seems very nice and i never heard drivers complaining about the company. Linde is a very good example of how a company should be run. They seem to genuinely care for their drivers. Unfortunately i don't have any Linde terminals anywhere near me. The closest one is about 2hrs away. If i were anywhere close to one of their terminals they would likely be my first choice for employment. I have talked to drivers and company reps from all the cryo carriers. I would never work for Trimac, Genox or Airgas, but CTI is by far the worst run company i have ever seen. Some government agency needs to shut them down asap before their accidents create even more regulation is the cryo industry.

Cryogenic has constant ads running in my local paper. You would think that a specialized trucking company would be good but it doesnt seem that way

    Bullet,

I worked for them out of Torrance for 3 years. They were the best non union company i have ever worked for. I know some are Union. Made very good money with them and had good benefits. I just needed to get back in the Teamster Union for my retirement. It was a good decision for me.

Having said that, I would recommend them to any driver out there. It puts all OTR companies to shame. Wow, a non union company that treats and pays there drivers well! It just goes to show that there are good companies out there if you look for them.

    Drive safe
