Cryogenics cancelled my husband's health insurance less than 24 hours after he was injured. We were stuck with all the surgery bills. (It was not on the job) we are now having to sue them. They are very unethical and have no company integrity. If you get hurt they will not stand behind you.
Cryogenic Transportation is bad,bad,bad

Yeah dido stay away from CTI out of pennsylvania. From what i am hearing from their drivers they will ruin your career. You just cannot cut safety corners hauling hazmat dosent make sense
-

#1, you load your own truck...if you're overweight you can release the vapor until you are in compliance...usually right on the scale. Your bad.
#2 - I don't think anyone expects you to drive illegally. They have a right to expect you to perform your job. If you are NOT driving and just truck-stop-hopping all over then you don't really want to work...that is their truck; they bought it, they own it, you wanted to work for them...WORK.
#3 - CTI does NOT have trucks that are illegal. They are my sister company and the requirements for their trucks are the same as mine...very stringent with a safety department second to none. It sounds to me as though you may be one of those "my way or the hi-way" kind of drivers and in this case YOU CHOSE the hi-way. Sorry pal, don't come on this board and start talking trash about a company you know nothing about. They are a great company...you just were not ready for the challenge. -
I dido. It just aint that good at Linde. I know a lot of people who are itching to get out of there I know i am glad im gone. They are a HPO you know. Yeah and cameras are going in the trucks. Good luck driving like a machine. B

Think you got hooked up with a bad carrier, maybe find another job before quitting..?
As for Cryogenics, it's 1 of the best paying jobs left out there.
No you don't get everything, but who does..?
I left otr and have trained for 6 weeks with 3 liquids and Hydrogen. There's a bid going on, and I'll have to run team 5 days out return home for 2 days off.
With Haz-mat for these materials, any carrier that skips around DOT is asking for trouble, computer logs keeps everyone honest, so no I wouldn't risk my career for any carrier. I suggest you do some research and look for another job in cryogenics, seeing your trained & know how to handle the materials.
These are jobs not everyone can handle, and the pay & benefits exceed any of the feeder carriers.
Best of luck to you in quest to move forward..! -
You say cryogenics is responsible..? In what way..?
The carrier has nothing to do with the business between you and the health care provider.
Unless you failed to disclose everything about you & your husbands health, which you now filed a claim on..?
When you don't disclose a precondition to a health insurance provider, that is grounds for cancellation. -
Camera's are a plus to any driver who is following the rules of the road my friend..!
They eliminate the twisted stories in accidents, record the bad driving habits of others who may cause accidents.
Technology is here to stay, there on the railroads, and soon to be in trucks.
The use of qualcom, & people net already help carriers know where their equipment is, cameras will tell them how you operate that equipment. Question is..are you a good professional driver, or do you drive a "big rig" like your 4 wheeler..? lol Only time will tell...!
The increase of truck accidents has cause the industry to move and do something, maybe cameras will be the answer.
Everyday there are "roll over accidents on ramps, rear end collisions, and drivers who text, and talk while driving holding a cell phone..?
For the revenue you make as a truck driver, there's no reason a driver can't afford to buy a headset bluetooth if he's going to talk and drive..lol
Everyday there are drivers out there that, think the rules, and laws don't apply to them.
We are the cause of all these new regulations that are moving in the industry.
