Sounds like someone constantly flunks the attitude test. I drive 50 hours a week, mostly California and Arizona, I have 2 CSA points. I absolutely HATE DOT officers but none of them would ever know it.

if your points don't follow you, the. Why would a carrier be concerned about taking you on??...thats because your points follow you and get added to new carriers score there they dont want you because they dont want those points.

The people I'm leased to has come out with a new rule last week. You rack up 75 points and you lose your contract with them.
They are trying to lower their score due to drivers not keeping up with their trks. /trls. and logbooks.
You get a logbook ticket and you have 2 choices. Go to elogs or find a new place to work.
    We have no company trks

That doesn't make sense unless he was aware of it having a history of vibrating out. Then you take pliers and squoosh the crimps some or use a cable tie, duct tape, anything. His solution plug it back in and act surprised when it vibrates off again. That's like putting air in a flat tire without fixing it.

The CSA was designed to keep CHEAP HOMELESS BUMMY DRIVERS IN THE SEATS...Think about it..!!!!!!!

They DO NOT pay you anymore for a ''perfect'' score or a ''bad'' score. So who really give a rats azzz about some stupid scores and points.I dont.

They did you a favor by canning you...This may be a blesing in disguise.TRUCKING IS OVEREGULATED and sucks anymore. It is only going to get worse and worse.Maybe you can go home now and be with your loved ones and actually enjoy your life and family.

THERE IS A GREAT LIFE AFTER OVER REGULATED TRUCKING..

You did read that the OP was having problems with finances after trucking right? Last thing he would want to do is go out and buy a truck with little money in the bank to operate on. And as O/O's we don't make that great of money with all the costs we incur. Freight rates continue to drop, and fuel prices are going up again. I talked to another indendent a week ago discussing things about the industry. Sadly we both agreed that its getting harder and harder for independents to make a living, we also agreed that were a dying breed. Its very sad what it has come too.

John rich said it best a few years ago. In the real world they're shutting Detroit down.

Lomeranger was not the OP. Honest mistake it happens.

The points don't follow a driver from one carrier's score to another. A carrier may be hesitant to take on a driver that has accumulated a lot of points because they don't want to take a risk of that driver continuing to accumulate points once hired, and bringing down the new carrier's CSA score.
