Agreed. If it wasn't for OOIDA's "lobbying", owner op's wouldn't exist.

As much as I dislike any post you make , I will have to say something isn't
being told here?? First why would anyone wanting to get hired even mention some points? if the company uses DAC they would tell him there was a problem, and it would be addressed at that point. I would think age or some other undrlying reason exist... Get your own authority and then you won't have to worry about getting hired you can hire yourself. thats what i done since I don't play well with others.

First of all i want to extend my thanks to RedForeman and Emulsified for their support and good thoughts. There is no more to the story than what i have told you . a highbeam headlight, a 4" strapwith a 5/8" cut in it, a marker light, and a tire with less than 2/32" tread. Someone asked "Why would you even mention CSA points?" If you knew anything about this industry you would know that companies run your CSA before they hire,or lease. Another one said "the new company your applying to dosent inherit your points" YES THEY DO. Anothe one said " get your own authority" not understanding that most shippers are starting to not ship with any person or company that does not have a good CSA rating . Age has nothing to do with the reasoning for not hiring me, I hold a 2 year physical and am probably a lot more fit ,6'2" and 235lbs, than most out there. I'm qualified on flatbed, van, refer, containers, have a twic card and other various port cards. I'm well liked by everyone I have ever worked for, good references, No tickets and no accidents, and have driven 40 years of every kind of truck known to this industry. As far as the rest of you non believers in my story, I will say wait till it happens to you,no matter what you think it's a matter of time and luck as to when your points will put you out of buisness. June 5th the 72 hr CSA check starts, GOOD LUCK

How long do you think it's going to be before these companies start looking at your CSA and say "well he only has 30 or 40 points but we can inprove our safety rating by letting him go and hireing this other guy that only has 10points". Every point you get increases their insurance rates.

I'm just having trouble understanding how all that added up to over 100 points?
