Yes they were and it looks like a bad place to cross with a trailer. 7EF746EA-F77A-4074-9F40-0AEC1727770B.png BA732F41-9D89-4B3A-9756-95EEC926A18C.png

Oh. How the new generation of hipsters that move into a railroad town and expect to open up coffee shops and antique boutique's in buildings along the line. The little towns that were built by the RR. we are getting the same bs here from the California-New Yorkian transplants moving in. The rail line we are on is the original southern most Southern Pacific line from coast to coast along US 90/FM 78/ I-10. With a train every 15 mins it Ain’t gonna shut down or move anytime soon.

My mom was a brakeman. It’d be the equivalent to popping the valves in a semi; Instantaneous brake application of every set of wheels with brakes. Flat-spots every single wheel, so it’s avoided if at all possible. If you pay attention at a crossing, you can hear flat-spotted wheels rolling through. In this case, it caused a derailment, as well.

They are the types that would move to next to a highway or airport cause its cheaper for obvious reasons, then complain about the noise. That doesnt work well so they move to flyover country and expect their stupid games to work there.

The one thing i dont get, why arent they grading these crossings properly? Or atleast putting up major signage to warn trucks? Id think that a single delay from a wreck would cost the RR more than what it would take to pay for the signs, or the state/county could find a way to pay for it to save on first responder overtime from any incidents. Is that my problem, I'm "thinking?" Can't go around doing that i guess.

How about just using a little common sense, by drivers?
