CTL/CCC/COMCAR , any one will do. Home office, Mulberry, FL. enough said. 2 weeks ago i had 1 load for the week, this week,( oh by the way) the plant is shut dwn for the week., no loads.
nothing good to say about this co. no bonuses, no incentives, no respect as a driver. i've had 2 pay cuts on my base pay, and when they did give it back to me, it was on longevity with the co. a considerable reduction. too many disrepencies to list,. don't drive for this co. whatever you do.

I thought the CT flatbed and Willis-Shaw divisions are supposed to be pretty decent.

STAY AWAY! I quit there a year and a half ago. The pay was around $30,000 a year and I had 6 years with the company, AND i was a trainer making extra pay. Non-trainers were making less than that! I emailed a guy who still works there to see how he was doing last week, he says he can work a 14 hour day and be lucky to bring home $90. Other days there is just no work so he doesn't even come in. These are experienced drivers I'm referring to - but even a rookie deserves more than $90 a day!
Trucks are governed at 57 mph and you ARE NOT paid hourly. STAY AWAY!
edit: Comcar owns CCC Transportation (dry van local), CT (flatbed local and OTR), CTL (tanker local), Willis Shaw Express (OTR reefer) and MCT (OTR).
They're a pretty huge company, I think WSE and MCT might be okay, but any of the local gigs are very bad. It's a shame too because in 09 I made $50k. Not bad for a local job. Then they messed up and lost all their contracts and cut driver pay big time. -

About 2 years ago, they lost their contract with International Paper to First Fleet Inc. They had that contract for like 40 years. From what I gathered through the grapevine, we kept being late on their loads. That tends to happen when you limit your trucks to 57 mph, and have pay so low that drivers just aren't motivated to get out of bed.
You can see why I quit.Lonesome Thanks this. -
Ugh, that's horrid.

I just talked to them not too long ago. Said they didn't have anything for me. I live in the Melbourne area. When I went thru school in April, their recruiter sounded real positive and bragged about the Anheuser Busch account. Too bad, they sounded pretty good to me.

In melbourne, I think their closest terminal to you is Port Canaveral. Not sure they have any work there now, since they lost Budweiser. -
I guess there isn't anything. When I called they said none of the divisions had any openings. It doesn't matter now though, going to Werner on the 30th.
