EGR coolers can go bad, it is a common problem, and push the coolant out the exhaust, staining you pipes, sometimes called wet stacking. If not under warranty can be an expensive repair, have heard of a few guys working for cheap companies that have been told to just keep adding antifreeze!

Yepper.... EGR coolers do blow a leak once in a while. Not a cheap repair.

I have seen a few EGR cooler failures on the new ISX at the shop im at. Try to get it serviced asap, espically if not under warranty. If left to long it can lock up your EGR valve, gunk up your vgt and even cause DPF problems. All engine brands seem to be having problems with EGR coolers since the new emmission standards of 2007+.
