Getting this weird code. Fuel pressure indicators all normal, fuel filter recently replaced.
Engine Fault Code (||16|0)
Fault Description: Engine Fuel Filter (Suction Side) Differential Pressure (see also SPN 1382) Cab Controller - Primary Voltage Above Normal, Or Shorted To High Source
Cummins ISX 2011 on a Kenworth T700

Curious about this too. I get the same fault on my isx 11 prostar. About once a day It pops up.
-
This code is set when the ECM detects the fuel pressure is actually dropping at higher engine rpms. Basically low fuel pressure. Could be primary or secondary fuel filter, suction restriction, sticking fuel shutoff solenoid or valve parts, weak pressure regulator or worn fuel pump.
tallmon and KeithT1967 Thank this. -
Thanks -
That pretty much confirms my theory of why the warning only shows up after ive been above 1500 rpm. Thanx hd

Yep, filters first, both if you have two. Then after that I would remove and check the shutoff solenoid valve pieces for wear or sticking.

Fuel filters replaced yesterday. No codes so far today.
Usually I know to change them by the fuel pressure but this time the pressure was fine and we got the code instead.
Fingers crossed. -
I have a Glider with a Detroit and it started this the day I had it serviced and all new filters installed.
