If it's losing 2 gl PR week being a fire tk it'll show up in Oil being to high if they check it? If it's in the exhaust it'll smell real sweet when started up.even if it's burned though a deff system 2 gls in truck that doesn't get that many miles on it,is a lot
Someone needs to look closer at it.
And don't just start it and run it to someone.it needs to be done asap.
    That's a major problem

Always quick to blame head gasket or liner. The EGR coolers are very common problem. It took a friend and I a while to figure his out. Meanwhile everyone wanted to tear the engine down immediately with warning of dire consequences otherwise. He ran it for around 3 months constantly replacing or cleaning sensors. Finally figured it out. My guess is it’s a money making opportunity for many a dishonest shop. Engine overhauled and a new egr cooler to boot

Pressure test the coolant system, 20 psi. Remove the hose at the backside of the EGR cooler, use your finger to see if coolant is in there. Or, just remove the line, and stick your finger in there, if it is losing that much coolant it will be evident. The other place to look is the transmission, if it is liquid cooled. Anyone check that for coolant?

As far as a liner busting lose, a $50 NAPA Auto Parts Store "Block Test Kit" will figure that out in short order. Like in a matter of minutes in regards to exhaust gas leaking into the coolant system.

    Rideandrepair Thanks this.

Drop the pan and see if it's internal first and foremost.

Could be the air compressor that's causing it too.
