I got a 2005 Peterbilt 379L that has a isx with a hole on each side of the block. Now i have a 2006 century that i want to use as a donor. Any one do something similar? and anyone know any mechanics in Ontario that would be able to do something like this? not trying to put another isx back in it. would like to have a detroit under the hood.

With the two extra holes on each side of the block you can rebuild it into a eight cylinder now.
Bakerman, Crude Truckin' and Peterbiltt Thank this. -
Call kustom truck in Coos Bay Oregon for the wiring harnes. They do lots of these type of swaps plus build glider kit trucks.
Peterbiltt Thanks this. -
Mawk Industries also builds custom harnesses.
Peterbiltt Thanks this. -
think you need a oil pan from a classic
Peterbiltt Thanks this. -
talked to mawk and kustom. kustom wants like 3500 for a new harness. mawk wants me to send my current computer to firewall harness and will rework it for about 1400. they couldnt tell me anything for the swap though. i dont think that classic oil pan would be needed.

thought the century was a front sump 379 is a rear sump pan
Peterbiltt Thanks this. -
You can get the Series 60 with a front or rear sump. I believe you just have to order a pick up and a different pan.

Someone already mentioned Kustom truck. I recently purchased a harness from them for a conversion to put a 6NZ in my 09' Pete. I had heard enough horror stories about Mawk so steered clear of them. Kustom Truck was able to supply me with everything including rear engine mount brackets and charge air cooler/ Radiator pipes. Everything went together very smoothly surprisingly. Only down side is the cost they are expensive but with that said I will say this. By far the best Technical service I have ever encountered. I worked with a guy named Nick and he answered every question I had and also made me aware of a few things I didn't have questions for but would of later.
Peterbiltt, DDlighttruck and Heavyd Thank this. -
Well the swaps being done by my mechanics, deal is they will give me the truck start with everything works, motors in the chassis right now on the new mounts. letssee how it goes
thanks guys
