Checked run out at 0.010 which is under the 0.020 max
-
Are you replacing the rollers & pins or replacing the cam follower assemblies with recon?
-
All Rollers and pins in progress. Just picked up an arbor press to get the new ones in. Hopefully easy
-
Are you familiar with the timing process or will you measure & replace the gaskets?
-
Already measured. .032 all gaskets. It was printed on them but I still checked wit a micrometer

Just found this on my 2014 D13 935k mikes..what would happen if I just closed it up amd ran with it like this? -
-
It will run until it won't. No one can really say how long it will go honestly. you will probably start to notice some performance issues. If you are gonna run it I would keep up with the oil filters and keep an eye on it. There will be metal coming off of it and it has to go somewhere. It will start to wear away at your cam follower as well if it hasn't already.
If it was mine, I would probably change it asap. Who knows how long mine looked like that before I found it due to an unrelated oil leak.
I understand that not everyone is in the same place financially but it isn't going to get any cheaper to fix it as time goes on.tommymonza and John E. Thank this.
