For informational purposes to anyone that reads this. I went to SIA in Tilden, IL for ECM work. Needed it ASAP. They are 2 hour drive from me. They have 4 test engines in their facility. N14 celect plus, ISX and two others that I didn’t look at. They are getting a Detroit soon they said. No Cats. They ran my ECM first, seen the problem, then repaired it and ran it again. Putting 6 pack of injectors in today, fingers crossed everything will be good. I can say as far as equipment goes and knowledge speaking to them, they are legit. I’ll try to remember to update as I go. I took the aftermarket injectors back to where I got them, they refunded my money and gave me my cores back. I got 6 PX Cummins injectors today to put in. I think I’m done trying aftermarket injectors.
I have been satisfied with Midwest as well, but a lot of guys around here have been having trouble after 6months to 18 months with ECM’s that were repaired by Midwest. Mine lasted 4 years. I think it’s hit and miss
What’s everyone using for a fuel filter. I am just running the stick setup on my n14. I just put a new Wix on it.
Well got ECM fixed at SIA still had injector issues. Pulled out all 6 aftermarket injectors returned and got refund, purchased 6 Cummins injectors 3411767PX and all is good. Lesson learned, Cummins injectors only. I’ve tried Delphi and Ambac International aftermarket injectors and both were not even close to Cummins, at least in my truck. If anyone has had good luck with aftermarket injectors please feel free to share which ones.
