My Cats all did over 6mpg at US weight. Even a 3406A.

Only time I got 6, was the last few months I owned it. That was on flatland, with a 3000 lb. 900 mile turn. It had a 425C w/9 speed. I traded it for a 99 Classic 12.7, 13 speed. It got over 7, sometimes 8. Even higher a few times, doing the same run. Loaded heavy in the hills, after I’d put 400k on it. Average was 6.3. The 2000 Condo I have now, same specs, has always gotten less. I hit 7.8 last month running empty. It’s was only 300 miles. W/O any idling, driving easy, I topped it off at home just to see what’s possible. Weight, hills and wind definitely has a bigger effect on the Detroit’s.

    I ran a 3406 CAT 475 Hp.

Only way my Cummins will hit 6mpg is behind a tow truck.

I think I mentioned it to you before, but the two CM870’s my brokers are running needed a turbo change and a tune to be fit to keep. Both power and fuel. The tunes were a last act of desperation before they went out looking for a couple of Cats. No way to describe the difference it made in those engines. They’re both pretty happy with them now.

Did my ISX at 20K along with all filters.

    Delvac 15-40 CK4 Mineral

Sold at 750K never a problem. Still going strong at 900K+.

I keep my foot to the floor wherever I go. If there's another way, I'm far too straight to figure it out.

Y'all haul less than 10k loads or what? We do, and get it done as close to 25k as we can. Someone in your maintenance needs a talking to, because at heavy loads, you can't ride 50k per PM imo. #### is gonna break.
