Yeah, another one...
I've seen a view threads that speak to performance, but that's all.
Last weekend I stopped to take a gander at a truck that's for sale. No specific info, just a contact number which I called. When I asked what it had for power, the guy said it's a Paccar, "but you know, it's the same as a Cummins". I laughed a little to myself and left it at that. I believe there isn't much of a difference, besides paint color, between a medium duty Cummins and a Paccar. As far as heavy duty engines go, I believe the two share the same block but I'm not sure where things go from there.
So, what are the specific design/manufacturing/component differences between the ISX and the MX?

I'm not 100% sure but I think the only thing the mx and isx share is the after treatment bs. The engines have nothing in common.
AModelCat, stwik, Rounded_nut and 5 others Thank this. -
VGT is Holset and the same as IS-X15 but grey. Otherwise nothing except aftertreatment.

Top of my head biggest difference is Cummins is overhead cam, paccar is pushrod, oh and the paccar don't spontaneously window the block because the fuel pump grenade.
