Why not install a regular filter head with a FF202 filter? It is a large filter with a 20 micron rating. It should do all you need without any problems. If the problem persists the fuel is to blame.
-
Does it have a restriction gauge if so what’s it run with new primary filter? I have a signature 600 and went from a 10 micron to a 20 in the winter because I had problems getting it started when it was cold and it didn’t matter how much additive or #1 I had in it just to much restriction.

Try a racor R61691P I switched to those I get 15k with no trouble could not get 11k on a paccar filter they are only around $20 also same filter just better quality in my opinion

Hes not lying. It's something with the new performance series x15, with the stock filter.
I have an 18, 525 PS and mine last about 10-12k. Every dealer, and even Cummins, says 30k is the minimum it should be going.
Of course no one wants to pay to fix it. -
I substituted a K37-1012, 30 micron and it lasted to the next PM, 20k. All is good.
Nothing to fix. Just change the part number.Intothesunset Thanks this. -
I've said it before , and here it goes again..........
The fuel systems have tighter tolerance than ever before. Fuel needs to be clean down to 5 micron. Which means filters will plug faster. Nature of the system at hand. Its either change filters or change injectors.
The only way to get more time is to increase capacity/size of the filter. Increasing OE side micron will help some as we allready touched on.
No one to blame......just how it is.mhyn, spsauerland, RollinThunderVet and 1 other person Thank this. -
Then the manufacturer should say that.......
They are to blame.Intothesunset Thanks this.
