If the issue was corrected and was just air from changing filters the light should go out after a few drive cycles with all OK.
Otherwise hooking up is the only way to clear.

On the diagnostic screen it says faults found to hook up with computer, on the warnings screen it says no warnings. When I would idle yesterday the rpm would be at 800 when normally its 700 I did few more priming cycles went back to normal like I said its running normal is connecting it only way to delete check engine light? What about disconnecting the battery for few minutes? -
Also recently my fuel mileage has sucked was averting 6 mpg in flatbed now doing reefer it would normally be at 5.5 yo 5.8 around 5 if I'm fighting wind now on a lighter load barely getting 5.2 at around 66k gross I have 290k miles on my truck you think its time for an overhead? Cummins book says every 500k -
I do not recommend disconnecting batts to clear.
Either wait to clear or hook up.
Overhead is ussualy OK to 500 with regular service and low hrs. If idles alot or beat on it couldnt hurt to do it now.
EGR cleaning? Regen history? DPF cleaned. More frequent regens = more fuel used.spsauerland Thanks this. -

If DPF has never been done most definatley needs it by now.
All sensors and ports should be cleaned from EGR valve to Intake manifold. Especially intake manifold pressure temp.nunofreddy and spsauerland Thank this. -
I’d drive it for a few days and I’d bet money it’ll go away.
nunofreddy Thanks this. -
So I got diagnostic check on the truck it came up with code 1883 aftertreatment dpf differential pressure sensor- data erratic, intermittent, or incorrect. The sensor reading an erratic value at initial key ON or during engine operation. They deleted it 2 hours down the road I turned off the truck for a break now I turned it on check engine light turned on again. I'm assuming while loves was trying to turn on the truck it fried the sensor? Is it a easy fix?
-
It could be a sensor, easy enough to toss one at it. More often than not the data erratic ends up being a wiring issue. Inspect all harness's for rubs or shorts to ground. Especially in and around framerails and in the DPF box.
Its easy to blame the last one that works on your truck for a CEL. I dont think Loves broke this one. JMOMidwest Trucker and spsauerland Thank this. -
They were really cranking on the ignition where it would get to the point was losing electricity probably fried the sensor? I'm going to buy the sensor never once before I had the check engine light that's why I was blaming loves I still have warranty on my truck but not sure to take to dealer since they last too long to check it out
