I remember that too, shocks would freeze up and break off, and never knew it. They were pretty useless on spring ride trucks, but once air ride came out, they do prevent "pogo sticking". I've driven trucks that had no shocks on the steer whatsoever, and it didn't ride any different than the ones with shocks.

Tires are flaking away pretty fast. I can’t wrap my head around why a company wouldn’t handle this situation when I wrote it up at the terminal-.

Update, they changed the passenger side steer but left the crap all position tire on the drivers side

Like mentioned before, get some applications out elsewhere. I wasn't kidding when I said it, but I just changed all 8 of my trailer tires, and all were better than your steers
