    Hi all,

    Thanks for reading my post.

I saw a job for a "auto transportation" broker and was wondering how does one break into the Freight Brokering Field?

This job post says "PRIOR SALE EXPERIENCE IN THE AUTO TRANSPORT INDUSTRY SHOULD HAVE KNOWLEDGE OF JTRACKER AND CENTRAL DISPATCH WITH OVERALL EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICES SKILLS."

I called the company that sells JTRACKER...but there was no answer...and no response to my voice mail message.

Sure would appreciate some input on how does one go about breaking in this field.

    Thanks in advance!

There is a licence for being a broker, Do a search on schools for brokers, you more than likely will need to start with a company, I know CE England "what you do threw a straw", But I saw an add for them on getting you Broker licence, and then you can work for them as a broker, For at least some experience, Hope this helps

P.s. I should have said, They offer a schooling for becoming a broker

You do not need a license to become a broker. There is no such thing as a "broker license" Stay away from any broker "schooling" that requires you to pay upfront.

    try this sight www.becomeafreightbroker.com

CR england is a trucking company out of salt lake city, UT , thewinner may be right if you just want to work for a company, you would just work under there licence, but to be your own broker you would need to be licenced, the link above will walk you though

Here something I should have added?, didnt think of it until I read another thread, But, If your just wanting to "dispatch" trucks for a company or O/O's, working for them, you dont need a licence, BUT?, If you talking about drokering for shippers?, You will need to be licenced, and you will need to be bonded, Someone said the bond is around $75000,

i think they've upped the bond to 100,000. if i remember right.

and it would seem to me. that if you need a bond. then you need a license also.
