They have no shortage on miles. If you can log it, you can drive it. I seem to get mixed opinions as to how good they are about honoring your home-time requests. One driver says she gets home every 3 weeks but could get home more if she wanted. I dont think they have a specific hiring area.
And as I've said in other posts, they say they have Columbias, Volvos, and T900's (mostly automatic) however, at this particular moment they only have the T900's and they are very very tiny. I'm 5'0" and it almost made me feel claustrophobic just looking back there. There is very little storage space, however they say you can add cabinets.
One more thing that hasnt made it to their website is that they have changed their pet policy. They now DO allow 1 dog (no cats) up to 25# and say they are very strict on conducting sleeper checks for cleanliness.
Last note for today, be prepared if you do come to orientation for you will need to redo your application and MVR information on paper. (I was told I wouldnt need anything except my CDL & felt like a fool).
I'll post more tomorrow. -
be careful they have some serious issues regarding overuse and over hours favors well at least they did here in Fairfield , then they left me after authorizing the emergency room to care for me , (broke arm in over six places) , I required surgery and all of a sudden they wouldnt authorize treatment at the surgical for over 12 hours I sat in a waiting room without any pain killlers and not one person from Buske (after all ready approving ER care) would return phone calls to see why all of a sudden no one was to treat me. Let me tell you I am so dissappointed in them and Tom Buske for the lackk of concern and caring show to me. A animal would have been treated with more compassion, and not left to sit un medicated for 12 hrs. in severe pain no food no drinks no transport no conversation regarding me as a piece of trash not deserving of medical care, they would have at least put anyone or thing injured as i was either hella medicated untill surgery approval or put down if an animal, caring about their employees and treating them as humans is an large area they need to pay serious attention too. I loved my job with them here in Fairfield , CA. ! Excellent on time driver , on call driver , team player, and a human.... Obviously they werent concerned or even sympathetic , 6 yrs later 5 surgerys later , my wrist is now fused , (doesnt bend), but it wasnt buske it was the state of California whom fixed me up, finally, and fingers crossed I'm getting ready to try and do what I love doing drivng them big trucks! My advice about buske , ... watch your back , make sure you have disablity short insurance like aflac or equvialant. Dont get hurt!
