How is the equipment, do you stay comfortable or are they bichin' at you about idling? Breakdowns, layover, collision avoidance systems, GPS, anything else you can tell me too please!
-
Also why are their CSA scores do bad on driver fatigue/ Hours of service, are they pushing drivers too hard and making them go over on hours?
-
The new international tractors R nice ! They had a freight shaker that I was in & it 2 was nice !!! BUT them #### old 94I & 96I suck ### ! Used and abused but , the maint always taken care of , & as for the hours of service WELL, as you know !!! 11HRS driving isn't going too pay the bills!!!!!! That's your call though ! No gun to the head or anything like that.

I worked at boyd for 6 years and trained. I left on good terms and good standing. However i would never go back. Hes right about cameras and elogs and slooooow trucks. Not to mention that they stay on you about mpg..its way to micromanagement and the office knows best mentality. Force dispatch and get home on saturday but leave on sunday alot also....you can do better. The "swift" of flatbedding.

In Re: on cameras,
They are two-way cameras, one faces out and one faces into cab and DOES record driver actions.
Also, Safety CAN pull up a live feed from any camera installed. They say they can't but that is BS because I had manager pull one up to see why truck was sitting still for so long. -
Only thing I have is that Mr. Tres Parker, VP of Ops is leaving the company and that really sux.
He was an advocate for the drivers up in the exec. ranks. -
Any new information on Boyd.... everything seems to be outdated, would like to hear from current drivers
