I've got a delivery in East Patchogue tomorrow, and I'm wondering where I can find a listing of roads that may have been closed due to the storm in the area. NY DOT has nothing.
Coming up from the South, I'm planning on taking the Verrazano bridge to the Gowanus, then to the LIE, looking like that may be the best route.
Opinions from those that know?
Current NYC / Long Island road closures?

Found This Link. Might be of some help, maybe not. I'm sure there are other "broader announcements" somewhere else on the web

Much help, thanks. That page led me to this page:

FYI, no diesel available at the Molly Pitcher service area on the southbound NJ turnpike. -
The roads aren't really a problem. Make sure you have fuel because THAT is becoming a big problem.
Hitman Thanks this. -

Believe it or not, I hauled asphalt roofing sealer into Long Island, and Wal-Mart napkins out. I don't think either of those truly qualifies as 'relief supplies'.
Traffic flowed smoothly in and out. No delays whatsoever in NYC, and a minor delay at the truck / car lane merge and again at the 7A construction area southbound on the NJTP. I'm sure that the HOV 3+ restriction on the East River crossings made a big impact. That and the lack of fuel availability had most of the 4-wheeling public parked during the day. Refreshing to say the least. -
i came thru connecticut and the GW the day after the storm, no problems, as a matter of fact, i stayed in the left lane on the CBE and never touched my brakes all the way into jersey
