If your running for that, the tax man is the last person you will have to worry about.

Amen brother. Amen. That is one of the issues I've ranted about on this forum. Most of those people need validation from others. They don't understand that they are slicing their own throats.

I've been out for almost 6 weeks now. I can't get back home because I refuse to bend over for these crooks. So I'll continue to run up and down the Midwest until I can get something decent that gets me to the Southwest.

I have a college degree and was making $90,000 a year managing a couple of poker rooms when I left the casino business after 15 years. I left it all because I wanted to see the country. So I became a trucker. My regret is that I didn't do it 20 years ago. I'd be retired and living overseas somewhere half the year. I love it. To me it's more fun than work.

People think that having a college degree makes you a success. Far from it. What makes you a success is your inner drive to succeed. Your pride. Your obsession.

My degree got me NOTHING. I started out as a sportsbook manager on a casino boat simply because I worked for bookies back in the day, and they wanted someone with "experience". They didn't care that they were hiring someone with a "questionable" background. When the Feds started cracking down on "offshore" sports betting, my company closed down the book. So I became a blackjack dealer. From there I eventually ended up managing.

If only trucking would have crossed my mind back then...

I've had a tanker endorsement since I started in 2016. I used it for the first time last week!

I was #2 at Flagler (now it's called Magic City) back in 2006-2007. I left there in late 2008. Then I went to Miami Jai-Alai from 2012 to 2014. I was also a poker, blackjack, and baccarat teacher. My friend has been running the Hard Rock in Hollywood for like 15 years now.

Are you familiar with those rooms?

No, been to the Jai-Alia in Ft.Pierce years ago, not sure if it's still in business or not. It was down the road from the Flying J and Loves. Haven't been to Florida in years.
