So how has the new regulations been to you?
Are you finding everything is going well?
Are you fit to be tied?
How do you like the new 5mph rule?

I myself am frustrated as I am having a difficult time finding carriers who use "paper logs" and run the region's I like. That consider me in their hiring area. I do not want elog. And I think I may be looking for other avenues of emoyment. Maybe I'm a dinosaur, or just hard headed. But I'd rather not drive, than be moving at 5mph on elogs. Even though I am very employable I will add.

I’m just trying to survive long enough to semi-retire and do something else. I’m ok with e-logs, but what is tapping away at my patience is the growing problem of the selfish, me, me, me, me, me mindset of today’s driver. And it’s not just the newbs. I know it’s in every industry and it’s a modern condition of society, but in our profession, a self-centered pos jerk can get people killed.

I loathe eld. Not many small carriers seem to want to stand apart from the big corps. Or do the small carriers understand the exemptions. I am not a carrier not sure I would want the paper work. Nor do I understand it all yet. Among other things like not knowing how to fix my own equipment yet troubles me as well. So perhaps I'll be putting myself out of the trucking market do to these issues. If paper logging and west coast tri haul were what I were offered, id jump on it.

I'm not of age to retire. So guess I wont. Or at least not for about 35 years until I am eligable.

i have a short time left till i'm gone. i could care less the 5 mph, or anything else,as my work night is not even 9-10 hours long. i am getting by.

i do not even take the required 30 minute break. i simply show that time at one of my stops. and i'm done with the rhetoric of it all.

then everyone else can keep quiet and do the job till their retirement, or get out, or bug the crap out of your elected officials.

I sold my truck over a year ago and went back to a small carrier I had spent 8 years at before that because I knew eld wouldn’t hardly affect what we do. My paychecks are the same as they were prior to Dec 18th.

I don't think you're going to find anyone running paper that isn't local.

I'm sort of with @buddyd157 . We don't have elogs. We're strictly timecard.
