Currently making $110,000 in TX oilfied, can I make $200,000 North Dakota?

    Im making $110,000 in the oilfield in Tx. hauling water and oil based mud as well as hauling frac sand with pnuematic. What water hauling or frac sand jobs can i make $200,000, give or take $10,000 as a company driver in North Dakota, and if u work up there u know what im saying is realistic. Help me out.....

    wages are drying up. the best i've heard is what your making now. so why go up there. winters are brutal.

    House in the ND Oil fields IS very very hard to get. Call any real estate agent in that area, and they will tell you be ready spend a bunch.

    the big wages of north dakota are gone, as too many people with stars and dollars in their eyes went up their... rates have dropped by 25% since November. Companies consolidating, closing terminals.

    Gold rush. Why not buy a truck if the money's that good, live in the cab like an OTR driver, keep the money? Thinkin' about it. Winters are brutal.

    The guy wants to make 200,000 as a company driver, why would he buy a house he'll never be home.

    PSI Frac out of Houston is advertising on CL in Denver for the Bakken saying 120,000 a year.

    It's like the chicken business. There was a time when it paid very well. Truckers flooded the market, then it paid well, then good, then decent, then okay, now the chicken hauling sucks. I think the ltl world pays better than any trucking job after you figure in the time off, benefits, labor, stress, laid back atmosphere, the leave you aloneliness, etc
