Same cab but the old Coronado is a 132" BBC and set forward axle. Whereas the Century/ Columbia is a 120" BBC with a 16" SBA.

Sounds like what you need to do is buy a W900B. The Columba pictured is trying to be something it isn't and never will be. You add all that crap to the outside of a truck and you'll decrease aerodynamics, ease of keeping it clean and throw good money after bad. Thereby negating all the positive qualities of a Columbia.

Columbias are excellent trucks with some very great qualities. Good looks is not one of them.

    Own one for their strengths.

It's usually easier to modify the existing hood. Of course this depends how much you can get for your old hood.

Don't put too much money in a Columbia nor Century. They're just there to pull the trailer down the highway. I'll see Columbias on occasion with stacks, some chrome, and other accessories. I roll my eyes each time.

I think the Columbia is a decent truck. I have few complaints. The plastic interior dash panels could vibrate and rattle less. My single largest complaint is the styling, which many modern trucks suffer from. I bet trucks will get uglier in the future, to save 1/1000th of a gallon of fuel.

Older trucks seem to be more solidly-built and better-looking.

Is the rattle coming from the left side of dash under a hard pull? That's a motor mount issue.
