You can make a custom shifter yourself with a little time (depending on what ya want). Most guys with the tall shifters just figure out how much height they want to add and then remove the shifter from the transmission, cut it in half, add the correct length of tubing, weld it all together, smooth the welds, paint or crome it, then reinstall with longer air lines to the handle. I for one would not run a longer shifter cause ot just wouldn't feel right shifting (you would have a longer throw for each gear). Personally I'm cutting mine about 6" shorter this summer and right now I'm trying to locate a older knob an switches.
If ya didn't want to make your own I would check with some of the chrome shops. The bigger shops like the Chrome Shop Mafia guys would be the best place to look. But you will probably end up having to get you own made...another words it won't be a item off the shelf. -
you can buy extensions that screw onto your stock one or build your own.
4 states sells one that has a big sleave around the outside making it real fat but it's stupid expensive.
really without removing the air valves and using a cool shift knob it just loks stupid anyways. just put the air valve in the dash somewhere -
of the "old style"
I cut mine down 8" last year
thanks
