So, we've been looking at conway truck load. The recruiter makes it seem like a dream come true but I'm not that naive. We were told teams could get into a program with guaranteed 5000 miles/wk if we went to Canada. For example, if you drive 4500 miles one week, theyll pay you 5000 but the next time you have over 5000, theyll take it out to make up for the negative. Any advice on this? Also, I havent perfected my backing yet and was wondering if they do a backing test and how difficult is it? Also, does anyone know if they have forced per diem? Thanks in advance.

I drove for conway for 15 months the only reason I left is I'm retired military and got a job offer in Afghanstan so that where I went. I drove solo I just refuse to drive team. But the pay for teams that recruiter explained to you is the way it actually is. As per forced per diem no Conway does not have per diem atleast not yet. I like Conway but as for a team I would recommend Hobby Lobby but both team memebers have to have 1 year experiance. 95% driver volvo 780 and are home every week being you live in Florida as thats what you location says you would be home for 1 1/2 - 2 days during the week with 5000 miles a week and I think the pay is 44 mile per team . As for coway driving yes backing is part of their driving test. Well good luck hopes this helps

I agree with YardDart .... I teamed here for 9 months or so , never needed to use the 5000 mi loan ( I call it ) always avg 5500-6500 a week unless headed home for home time

They treat teams like gold here , most are in new kw680's & teams will go to top of the terminal board so very little down time

not sure about hobby lobby ..I've seen there ad's seems like ok company

I used to team with the guy above me.he is 100 % correct. If we had a 5000 mile week it was a slow week. I don't know anything about hobby lobby either.

Are you Husband & Wife? Where at in FL , north of Orlando is easier (coming home & going ) but I've also been deadheaded up to Rocky mount Nc (team freight)

I used to team for them out of Orlando. Ask me anything. Are you guys new to trucking? You can make more money teaming for other outfits but they want at least a little experience.
