Is randy still doing orientation? By the way the shop, albeit not the friendliest bunch of folks, were probably the best I’ve dealt with in my 17 years of driving.

Don't LET the 'newness' wear off. Once you get diesel 'IN YOUR VEINS' it's hard to get it out, IMHO~!
Congratulations, man!

I know guys who've been with Cypress 20yrs. Too bad they've gone all auto though.
I might see ya in Sweetwater or Galena Park if they run you over into Tx at all, keep us updated and post up your truck # when you get it.MericanMade Thanks this. -

Day 2. Videos on load securement, Smith System, and some more paperwork.
I didn’t know it at the time, but the guy who interviewed us was one of the owners. I’m liking the vibe this company has. They fly the USMC flag and several of the vehicles in reserved, premium parking, i.e., big wigs, have USMC license plates.

I was always told that honestly was the best policy, but sometimes lying is the best thing to do.
The fit 57 year old man who is honest about surgeries and injuries doesn’t get hired, but the overweight, soft guy who lies about it is hired.
What I’m saying is I should have lied on my medical questionnaire like the overweight guy with two hernia surgeries, because Cypress sent me home this morning.
I had an inguinal hernia about 10-12 years ago. I had surgery and a mesh implant. I’ve been doing a job that is way more physically demanding that folding and picking up a tarp every once in awhile, and I never had any issue.
And a chiropractor injured my neck about 10 years ago, but the real doctor—a orthopedic surgeon didn’t recommend surgery and it got better with time. No issues with that either in the last ten years.
Insurance company won’t insure me, so I’m done. Guess I’ll reopen my kitchen remodeling business and pick up where I left off.
Remember kids, lie, lie, lie about your medical history because honesty isn’t always the best policy.
Certainly there’s a sticky on this that I overlooked.G13Tomcat Thanks this. -
Well that sucks! I'm sorry that happened but it sounds like you've got a plan B atleast. Have you given any thought to trying a different company or maybe not flatbed?
G13Tomcat Thanks this.
