Small world, my old neighbor drives for Lowes, longer haired guy from New York don't know his name but I know he's been there a while. Not a whole lot of work in this area, I drive to Wildwood everyday for my job. It's a nice place to live but you definitely have to travel to find the decent jobs.

+1 for Rinaudo. CCJR76 gave me the foot in the door and I couldn't be happier there. New trucks, great loads, easy routes, lots of O/D stuff (if you like hauling big stuff), etc.

Here's a load I dropped off last week.

I got a buddy who just did orientation in Florida this week. I'll pass along how things go for him as time goes on.

Got a call from the trainer last night. Should be heading out around 7 tonight.
Last time I had to ride in a
    Truck was back in 1999.
Not really looking forward to it but I'm going in with the attitude of learning something new. Maybe I have developed some bad habits I'm not aware of because no one has been there to correct me.
I'm also hoping my trainer is there to teach and not just for the extra $.

I've been with my trainer since Sunday night.
Turns out we've both been driving around 20 years. He's good and does everything by the book which I can appreciate. I understand he is in training mode so I try to keep my cool when he starts treating me like a rookie. Telling me how to turn in to yards and when to change lanes.
The best was this morning I had the A/C set to defrost on floor and window setting. He asked what I was doing so I told him I set it to defrost. He says that's not defrost and reaches over and switches it one more setting. So I asked him to look at the knob and showed him the little defrost image and very nicely informed him that I know how to use the A/C.
He's a good guy and means well so I let it all slide. I imagine he is great for guys first starting out.
Hoping to get on some different loads to see how they want them secured. So far we've done 2 loads of dry wall and are under a load of 8 inch pipe now.

My boyfriend and I have bought a home near tampa florida and he is an otr driver with western right now. He is considering changing companies to one that is based in florida. Do you still like cypress? Would you reccommend it?
