And I'm not saying this to sway you in any direction, but if you put some time in there and don't think Cypress is for you but like flatbed you might look in to D.Mosley up in Lawtey, I have a good friend who's been there 2 years pulling oversize and he loves it.

Hey Harleyman I was wondering if you would share what kind of money they offered you to start? Does the insurance still cost a lot? And finally, what kind of home time does the SE regional offer for someone like yourself living in FLA?

I live in Jax and I am doing a 300 mile turn around so they say I should be home daily but they only guarantee weekends off -
Is it hub miles or pc miles? I take it the trainer is for you to learn the flatbed?
-
pc miles............yeah i have to do two weeks of load securement training cuz I've never hauled flatbed -
Just got home from a week on the road with a trainer, lovin the flatbed! we are treated with respect unlike pulling a reefer!
Have to do a few more days on the yard then I should get my truck Thursday or Friday! -
would Mosley hire someone without flatbed experience? i'm wanting to get into flatbed but don't have flatbed experience, i've got 20 yrs otr pulling reefer, van, hopper bottom & livestock. u think i got any kind of chance? i'm willing to learn it if they are willing to show me -
I think it's all a situational thing, if you've got a bunch of experience it's worth looking in to because I'm positive my friend has trained a few people who have not done flatbed. I remember in other posts though you said something about a felony, you might want to look on their site and see what their guidelines are on that.
