Anyone know anything about this company? They're out of Galt, California (Sacramento County). They take just about anyone according to their profile on bigtruckdrivingjobs (which is where my son found it). Their website is down, though. That's always a red flag to me, but he's desperate for a job. If you don't know about this one, any tips on how a young guy can get hired hauling for farmers (cattle, horses, grain, whatever they need....he'd like to avoid the big companies and cities for the most part).
Thanks,
Trucker's Mom

There's a D&D Cattle Company and DOT number listed above. Once based in Texas, their Carrier Authority is now inactive. Don't know if their the one's you were looking for or not. I'd suggest a search of the gooberment's website. Google, FMCSA. Search their site. You'll find what you want if they're legit.Last edited by a moderator: Feb 1, 2009

Looking for work hauling cattle is a lot easier to find than other types of hauling.
Have him ask around where he can locate the owner there. Once he finds the owner, tell him you'd like to find some work hauling for someone.
He will be able to lead you to the right person, company or farmer. There at a Livestock Auction, always seems to be someone that can use a driver.
There's a Lot of Large Cattle Ranchers that buys and/or sells at the Auction. So there's many trucks that come in and out of those places.
I have a Livestock Auction close by here, that is where I get my cattle and horses too. There's always someone looking for more drivers here.
The best place to go to find work hauling Agriculture.MilkMan Thanks this. -
