So I just noticed these lines are looking pretty rough. I'd like to go ahead and replace whatever feed is going into the actuator here, but I have no idea if that can even be done.

Can anyone ID the part name and also is there anyway to go ahead and protect these lines in the meantime? Short of cash and I certainly don't have the money right now to replace the actuator itself.

Then again I definitely don't have the money for a tow when the truck dies because a couple lines split and killed my VGT. IMG_0263.JPG IMG_0262.JPG

Just as a side note I'm leaning towards dressing the lines with some silicone until I can get a permanent repair on it.

Unfortunately, the harness is a non serviceable part and you would need to change the complete actuator.

    cabwrecker Thanks this.

Just to follow up on this for any interested party, I called Volvo and confirmed the harness is not replaceable, and that the whole actuator assembly would need replacement.

And on the off hance anyone was interested or is having a similar problem (Volvo mech says it's common)- the lines are rough but not so rough as to be in immediate danger of failure. After discussing service options with a mech, I'm just gonna tie them down to isolate movement as much as possible and put fresh silicon paste on them every week, adding it to my weekly greasing schedule. Shouldn't have any issues so long as the lines have a decent coating, and no openings to the copper (which they don't.)

Volvo parts dealer actuator in NWI quotes around $950 with core for new actuator. Aftermarket refurb is $650, doubt coring available on that.
